What’s the best way to get to the venue?

The venue is the Carneros Resort and Spa in the Napa Valley. We recommend renting a car, using a rideshare service (Uber or Lyft), or considering public transportation options like the Marin Airporter (from SFO Airport to Novato) or Groome Transportation (from SFO Airport to Petaluma).

Is there parking available at the venues?

Yes, there will be free parking available on-site at all venues, including the Carneros Resort and Spa.

What is the weather like?

In August, Napa enjoys warm, sunny days with an average high of 81°F and cooler evenings with lows around 55°F. It’s perfect weather for outdoor activities during the day and a light jacket or shawl in the evenings. With minimal chance of rain, you can expect clear skies and classic California summer vibes.

What is there to do in Napa while we’re visiting?

Napa Valley offers a variety of activities, from wine tasting and fine dining to exploring picturesque hiking trails and charming towns. Check out our "To Eat & To Do" section for recommendations.

What airports should I fly into?

The most convenient airports for Napa Valley are:

San Francisco International Airport (SFO): Located about 1–2 hours from Napa, SFO offers a wide range of domestic and international flights.

Oakland International Airport (OAK): About 1–2 hours from Napa, OAK is a smaller airport with many affordable domestic flight options.

Sacramento International Airport (SMF): A quiet, easy-to-navigate airport about 1.5 hours from Napa, often with less traffic than other Bay Area options.

Sonoma County Airport (STS): Located just 45 minutes from Napa, STS is the closest option, though flights are limited to select cities.

We recommend renting a car for flexibility in exploring the region, as public transportation options in Napa are limited.

How we met

It all began on a warm August morning, the first day of high school orientation at Marin Catholic. Amid the swirl of new faces and introductions, Cristy and Andrew met—just two teenagers with no idea how intertwined their lives would become. Over the months, band class became their favorite part of the day. Between shared laughs and whispered jokes over sheet music, a connection blossomed.

Spring brought turnabout season, a tradition where the girls invite the boys to the dance. Cristy took a leap of courage and asked Andrew to be her date. That night, as they slow danced under the dim glow of the cafeteria lights and Bruno Mars' It Will Rain, holding each other close for the first time, something unspoken passed between them.

By the following fall, Cristy had joined the tennis team, a sport Andrew had loved and played his whole life, and soon they found themselves spending weekends on the court until one day, Andrew worked up the nerve to suggest a date—dinner and a movie. On their third date, heart pounding, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Nervously leaning in for a kiss on the cheek, he was caught completely off-guard when she turned her head, stealing their first kiss.

The Proposal

Fast forward a decade. After years of love, laughter, and growing together, Cristy and Andrew had moved to New York City to pursue their dream careers—Cristy embarking on her journey to earn her MD and PhD in medical school, and Andrew leveling up his career in finance. They had just moved into their first apartment together and were celebrating their 10th anniversary with a candlelit dinner at a ritzy restaurant sixty stories in the air. Throughout their dinner over looking the Manhattan skyline, they reminisced on the amazing 10 years of love they had shared together. Over dessert, Andrew pulled out the ring he had been keeping in his pocket for the better part of a year and asked Cristy to spend forever with him. Her heartfelt "yes" echoed with love.

After saying yes, they spent the night walking hand in hand across the Brooklyn Bridge, taking in the grandness of the city they now called home. Under the twinkling lights of the skyline, they shared the news with their loved ones, their hearts full of excitement and joy.

Now, as Cristy and Andrew prepare to say “I do,” they’re returning to where it all began. Their wedding in Napa brings them back to the Bay Area, the place where two high-school sweethearts met, fell in love, and started this incredible journey together.
